I have to agree that the production is phenomenal on this one, I think this is his best album yet. I say this because to me some of the other albums seem too go on forever, this one is at a good length and he put enough shit in each song that makes it hard not to get boring. I just love the way the album feels as a whole, it flows amazing. To me this album feels like a culmination of Kanye throughout the years like if Kanye turned super saiyan, this would be what he makes.

Really don't think this is worth all th hype. Listened last night and the only high point was the 21t century schizoid man sample. Not much artistic value here

most of the music in this album is just samples from other bands. kanye west can't write music. if someone gets this much hype for an album it should be fore their own music that they wrote and put blood sweat and tears into. not other people's music with crappy, poorly written rap lyrics plastered ontop. i dobt kanye west even wrote those/

I think it's a good album but didn't anyone else find that effect he used (on his voice but none of the other parts of the song) in half the songs annoying? Like he was going for a Ben Harper "burn to shine" sound but couldn't commit and couldn't pull it off?

Set out to become one of the most overrated album of the decade.

Also, I don't understand this tendency to declare an album a 'masterpiece' or 'album of the year' when it's just been released. Highly unfair to the other albums. I would bestow such hyperbolic on something which, at least, has been around for 6 months.

I have issues with this album but that stopped being a reason to discount a musician decades ago.

I did not say that this album does not have any quality. Nor is that any criteria to judge an album in itself. But I have a problem with this being declared 'THE best of the year'.

The only people who actually bother to say these sort of things are music critics, and they're effectively forced to make such statements since this album has been released so late in the year. That said, I do think one can find an album to be hyperbolically good upon first listen. Sometimes the opinion changes, sometimes it doesn't.
