OK, back to subject then. Mirrors is ok, but I don't see how one can argue that it's better than Obfuscation, Disease or Fossil.

I like it the most because it seems the most focused and doesn't have any goofy tidbits in it to distract me plus it's the only song that manages to move me emotionally because of how everything manages to come together(especially in the middle of the song once the drums kick in)

Swim to the Moon is easily the worst song on here though because it does the exact opposite.

just curious, is it normal on Sputnik to get almost 90 pages in a thread?

standart sputnik issue when the album is this popular/controvertial.

@oathfbass: yeah you're entitled to your opinion and I respect that (kinda); but as focused as mirrors can be it's the riffs and transitions that make BtBaM and the other songs provide that in a variety of manners.

... but swim to the moon abuses of that a bit

I think STTM is the weakest too. If the whole song was as good as the first 2 minutes and the chorus, then it might be better.

ah okay...cool...

ya I'm getting into the line ov people who agree that STTM is the album's weakest...the middle chunk

ov that song is just invisible to me...

Mirrors is good, but I think it might be the second weakest on the album in my opinion...but that's

just me...and like i said, no song on here's really bad...there're just the good ones and the amazing

ones...

@Baphoment

While I do like the songs you asked me about earlier, I just think Mirrors handles it better since I dont mind listening to the song all the way through while the other songs make me want to skip parts in the middle(except Obfuscation, the middle of that song is awesome, its just the end that I dont really like)

I guess thats why I like Alaska the best, it had a good amount of songs that were similiar to Mirrors while having faster songs of moderate length that can keep me hooked.

The chorus of Swim to the Moon is like the best part of the song.

Oh dear, that was bad...

But yeah I know what you mean hitman, the swim to the moon part does end a bid awkwardly in the first chorus.

its safe to say swim to the moon has some of the best parts of the album but at the same time is the weakest song.

Agreed, Hollier. That freaking beastly riff at 5:18 is so incredible. Much more groovy and restrained than almost any riff they've ever written. I also like all the punk/hardcore that's in the first half. Of course the second half has it's brilliant moments of melody as well, but, I must admit that Swim to the Moon is somewhat disconnected. The jam session is just ever so slightly off the mark... And I can't get into the keyboard solo...
