Awesome man. This band is just fabulous and has one of the best runs of albums ever. Just think too, you have two more brilliant albums! XD

Yeah, rescently I've developed more love for this album somehow. Too bad Isis brings too much memories from the past that really hurts my mind.

I have other bands that are like that for me but it sucks period. Sorry to hear man.

I'm starting to really love this guys. What can i expect going from here to their last two records? I'm listening chronologically and i am also pumped for Palms afterwards

Tbh i liked every successive record more than it's predecessor. I feel like they finally perfected their sound, that they had started on Oceanic and sporadically on Celestial. Oceanic was still a tiny bit too much sludge, so this is just right for me (i do like Sludge though, but i think High On Fire is more of an Sludge band i can enjoy).

From what i heard, Turner's cleans improve a lot by Wavering Radiant? Some reviewer even compared him to Brodsky, whom i absolutely love as a vocalist

True except I wouldn’t compare Turner’s cleans to Brodsky’s but yeah I love both of them. In The Absence Of Truth was when he really began singing a lot more and by the time of Wavering Radiant, his cleans really took shape.

Absence is kinda a rawer more atmospheric and melodic advancement of this and WR is full blown prog metal goodness, all mind blowing genre bending stuff.

Too bad Turner's recent projects have been more on the heavy / sludgey end of spectrum. The few Sumcac songs i listened to didn't reasonate with me.

Hoping at least for a Palms release in the next 2-3 years

Palms would have been amazing if the production were better tbh. Sounds like it was recorded with a tin can which is unfortunate because the songs are great.

Hmm dunno about his heavier stuff. I'd rather listen to other bands for heavyness, Isis' atmosphere and instrumentation is far more engaging than all of his heavy/hard hitting projects combined imho
