I don't find their synth period bad at all. That's because 1) I love Rush, 2) I love synthesizer. Power Windows is definitely their most melodic album I think

After more than one year, this is still growing on me.
This and Hemi could really be a double album, the concepts are also comparable.

Now Hemispheres should become a 4.5

If we could get 2112 and waves bumped up by 0.1 each then they'd have a five album stretch of 4.4's

I bet a lot of albums would get a higher average if all "old" ratings would be deleted

KILL once dropped a link from the wayback machine of the Rush page like 5 years ago and the averages were actually quite a bit lower

I'm googling best Rush album and this always gets the 5th or 6th spot, in the lists that exist out there... lol imo this is definately their best effort followed closely by 2112 !

Album Rating: 4.5
Yeah, this has overtaken 2112 as my favorite Rush.
|
| |
2112 is their best song but unfortunately the rest of the album (as great as it is) doesn't keep that same level of quality.

Album Rating: 4.5 | Sound Off
2112 is still solid 4,5

Someone has probably said this already in one of the past 77 pages, but
Geddy Lee's vocals in Cygnus X-1 towards the end are just plain Watchtower :-)
