"vessel and their self titled are good, but blurryface is one of the worst records of the decade so..."
This very much so... But saying Blurryface is one of the worst albums of the decade is somewhat of a stretch

Not really. Some of the most pathetic songwriting in mainstream pop coattailing an awful gimmick, all whilst Tyler has the audacity to look down on the very industry he is currently shoehorning the group into. Beyond that it fails to even carry its own concept with non stop filler and completely bland at best and bad at worst tracks and some of the dumbest lyrics from anyone in the history of ever.
The Judge is a saving grace, but even then Tylers rapping about having a panic attack over getting lightbulbs and its like... what.

now that i think about it, ride was the only song that made me think "oh this is great"

Cheers clover but we're gonna have to agree to disagree. I thought the lyrics were all really inventive and catchy.
I agree with you on the judge being a standout, that's one of my favorite top songs

You back up your opinion very well but the masochist I am, I can supply a laundry list of worse albums from this decade

Looking at the tracklist, a lot of the later songs were weak af.

in comparison to vessel and self/titled tho?
compare the lyrics to holding on to you with a song like ride or stressed out. both are pretty similarly structured songwriting wise but lyrically the former is far more in depth but still has a good grip on pop sensibilities. honestly you can do that with the majority of vessel, the lyricism on there was actually really good.

you guys have heard their self title, right? its easily their best work, especially love the light electronic/chamber pop elements on it.

Vessel and self titled were far better I concede, and blurryface coulda fared better with a trim, in fact my biggest issue with blurryface is a lack of continuity. But I loved all the songs so I couldn't complain all that much.

Self titled is really good. Could do with a remaster tho, the drums and bass are weak af on that

' Could do with a remaster tho'
its funny because pretty much every album except for their latest is in major need for remastering.
