most the songs are long because of the stupid outro segments that where cool on P2, but are way overused on this one

I still really enjoy this and it'll probably be my album of the year unless Tesseract just comes in and lays waste or Night Verses puts out another classic album, but P5 feels a lot messier than P4. The outros drag hard, I'm not a fan of Silhouette (even though I generally really like their other pop songs), and the riffs on average are not nearly as memorable. Spencer kind of carries the whole album, and as much as I really enjoy his vocals, I wish we had some more earworm riffs like Sentient Glow or Reptile.

TesseracT is on track to tear this a new asshole and I liked this album. Heard from some people that the studio version of Natural Disaster is even better than the live performance and that performance already had me giddy.

New Tess song is one of their best songs ever

"This is now a Tesseract thread."
Until my War of Being review in a month when that drops :-)

Tesseract always had a more interesting, defined and unique sound than these guys anyway, who were basically like “what if Dream Theater, but Meshuggah, but also Protest the Hero, but also flavour of the month brostep and Lo-fi beats to chill and study to”

That Tesseract single didn't grab my interest
And while Tesseract might have the more interesting sound on paper, they do nothing interesting with it. Periphery have higher highs = more fun

Tesseract song felt like verse riff quiet part verse riff quiet part verse riff, there was no particularly catchy moments about it, besides the ending "Shine a light in you" part
