I thought the Eagles were going to smoke the Chiefs at a few moments, and then I saw there defense.
Man was it terrible, but I can't blame them trying at the end

We promoted Tim Kelly to OC, which was the expected move, albeit not a very sexy one. I hope he's able to drag this team away from the caveman ooga booga offense, but we'll see.
That holding call is doing a wonderful job covering up for an abysmal showing by a supposedly top-5 all time defense. Reid cracked the code and had them absolutely overwhelmed in the second half.
Related, I hope to Chiefs roll with Pacheco as RB1 next season. That dude is vicious.

Why have good defense when you have a strong ref game

The whole Eagles defense collapse is what I keep telling my friends who try to justify the loss of the game. They had a ten point lead and couldn’t hold it. Yeah, Mahomes is amazing and all, but for having the number one pass rush in the league they sure didn’t get much done.
Also I looooooove pacheco

Welp, checking in after the game here. The absolute shit field completely neutralized the Eagles' pass rush, which in turn exposed how terrible Gannon's "abilities" as a DC are. I've been hating the guy for two years and I'm praying that he gets hired by Arizona. He was saved by the pass rush all year but when the field is a slip and slide the d-line can't do anything.
It was a great game until that really weak hold. Two years in a row the Super Bowl was ended on soft calls that robbed us of a climactic finish. Hurts getting a two minute drill to be the hero would've been exhilarating. I'm trying not to dwell too much on all the little things that could've gone the Eagles' way because the game can't be changed now.
Winning the Super Bowl 5 years ago helps a lot with mitigating the disappointment because if they were still ringless I'd have probably tried some bleach yesterday.

I’m glad you didn’t try bleach Light.
Anyway… just when I thought Raheem Morris would be off to other places… no one wants to hire him. So I’m stuck with his defense again this year. The future looks… bright…
Any other exciting off season news yet?

Well Twitter has collectively lost its mind over JuJu talking trash after the game lol. Off-season is heating up already and we are hardly even in it. Obviously Aaron Rodgers is having his, uh, "darkness retreat" or whatever it's called soon, so buckle up for that ensuing drama.
As for Titans-centric stuff? There's apparently some buzz about the Jets being interested in trading for Tannehill. No clue if that's our people trying to generate buzz or if there's legitimate involvement from the Jets org. Stay tuned, potentially.

There’s a lot of Jalen Ramsey trade/cutting rumors occurring right now. Not surprising considering his history but I’m still worried about my secondary, especially if Morris is sticking around.
Purp’s gonna be the real winner of the off season though ;]

Jalen IS getting close to 30, which is generally when the cliff for a corner nears. I'd be cautious if I was looking to get him.

It be like a two year 35 mil deal mostly guaranteed probably. Similar to what he’s making a year but short term. Or at least that’s how I’d do it if I was a gm idk

I just want to go back to preseason when we were all wondering if Rodgers would play like he was trippin’ and boy that first half of the season…
I hope he follows Brady and retires.

The Titans have released Robert Woods and Taylor Lewan. The former is slightly unexpected, the latter was essentially a foregone conclusion.
The journey to creating some cap space begins...
Franchise tagging period has also started, which means multiple other teams could be making some big decisions here shortly.

Yeah, it wasn't a good fit. We gave him a decent contract and the numbers weren't there. Consistent drop issues, lack of separation on routes. Todd Dowing's putrid offense was obviously a factor as well.
