Quite amazingly my excitement has recently dipped a bit. I think I just got burnt out being so full-on excited for so long. Also having heard just too much from the album and about the album... I pretty much know how most of the songs are going to play out and have heard most of like 6 of them. *sigh*. It's my own doing. Still checking for a leak every 5 minutes though lol. Going to be a great album, I'm confident I'll like it more than Chase and Invented. I hope for some beautiful stand out moments though.

I deliberately avoided listening to Pass the Baby on Kerrang. It took some willpower to not tune in but I went and visited some friends to keep me distracted lol. But unfortunately I've read what happens in the song which will ruin the surprise when I finally do hear it. And I accidentally heard half of Pol Roger because a podcaster played it as outro music after interviewing the band and didn't announce that was gona happen. Also having heard the title track in live acoustic form. I hope there are some great surprises still to find though. My expectation is it will be a really consistent album of songs that are up there with You With Me and Sure & Certain as being great alt-rock songs, but without the standouts like 23 or Kill. I'm really expecting a 3.5 but can't wait to find out if I'm way off on that prediction.

Yay new album is great so far. I've been following this band since before Chase This Light, one of my longest personal times ever. It's such a wonderful feeling knowing a band you've been listening to for this long can still pump out quality material xD
