I follow this band and I almost thought it was Chino there but then though it could be more likely Lessard from Contortionist. I guess its really Keith tho and yap, single event so far.

This album is a hard 3
The band is really just going through the motions, and the songs feel like they are structured very randomly. Since ETID is such a solid band at its core, this will result in a few great tracks (Post-boredom, People Verses), but this is really hard to listen to for more than a few tracks without boredom setting in.

these guitar parts are hella boring ngl, band works better in their offkilter panic attacks than in the same diminished riffs everyone's heard a hundred times over

Look I don’t know what that post means but what I do know is that Johnny posts in a lot of LTS threads and sometimes after you’ve heard LTS other bands’ guitars just put you to sleep 😴

Struggling so hard to decide if this or Bleed the Future is my AOTY, how does one even compare them?
|
| |
oh wow that was a crossover i did not expect
but yh, LTS is a perf example of a band who reuse a load of parts (chord structures mainly) between songs but also repurpose their notemelting firework shredface rainshowerfunk antics in so many smart anti-attentionspan ways that the predictable elements are almost always welcome. big guitars of trvth etc
that said, i do respect that this is more about ENERGY than original or inspired guitarwriting, which is, like, probably fine if you'll in it for the adrenaline yell noises idk

Burnt out on 15 full listens in a week, will look forward to a relisten when I'm ready. My final takeaway is there is nothing I can relate my anger to more than this.
