I just smoke some weed now, here and there...LSD is life and character changing, even if you don't do it anymore.

I'm legitimately suprised that the avg is still this high. Fan reactions were mixed to positive overall from what i've seen, though most professional critics seem to love it

'Its just odd how the metal comunity gets divided with Tool. With all the hype and high expectations, its easy to get a bit underwhelmed (even for some band's fans) Though its a hard statement to put the breaks and say: "this ain't that good", I think its a mistake to say this is repetitive or dull. Sure, they could go for those 6 minute dynamic rock hooked bangers they're known for...Instead they did this almost dreamy like sort of band's work retrospective, that actually demands a close listen. Drums are amazing from one of the best drummers of all time. When you listen to this repetitevely, focusing on details, you see that there is absolutely no repetition riff to riff, section to section, always subtely changing the riff itself, tempo shifting, drumming, electronics, vocal layers etc...its damn big and with countless replay value, an ode against immediacy, and its here for the long run. They are not (and never were) bad ass metal, and I always noticed the core of metal oldschoolers (along with some tourists) a bit skeptic towards Tool. Its all about opening, trust and detail attention.'

It's hypnotic the way that they use repetition, rhythm and the subtle tempo changes.

Weed for life.

Well, without weed, it's quite boring. Needing to take weed to enjoy a record just shows how bad it is tbh, there's a lot of shit you can watch/listen to with weed and still enjoy it, how awful it might be when sober

Go listen to Spiderland by Slint. It does have all those elements only they do it way better.

lolol That's not what was said...Weed can enhance some experiences, whatever is your thing, but not necessarily...In my case I like weed with no tool, tool with no weed, tool with weed and weed with tool.

"Was life changing" So where's that bump? lolol

I hear the same talk for Tame Impala. Honestly Tame Impala's music is so good on it's own that it doesn't need some drug, "just for the experience". I mean ok, once in a blue moon maybe but it not vital by any strech of the imagination

Sounds offs for this album are hilarious, people fighting over music. Just listen to it or don't, tool are overrated but they don't "suck" and neither does this album
