I don't get Carly personally
I've liked Lady Gaga as a personality for a while but only started actually coming around on some of her songs with this latest album. Most of her music is real bad lol. Um I like some Charli XCX songs... those are the only 3 really big pop stars off the top of my head that have multiple songs that I enjoy but there is tonnes of pop on smaller scales that I like a lot
I dunno how popular Jessie Ware is or if she counts as mainstream but her new album is actually amazing as a whole

a girl I know with super basic taste posted Jessie on her story once so that makes her mainstream

weren't you emeritus before or have you always been staff?
|
| |
the site is so desperate for activity that if an emeritus pops up for three seconds they get promoted back to staff

Lada Gaga had some FIRE singles, like Paparazzi. And that one jazz/pop album she did was great. Been meaning to check out Jessie Ware.

Lady Gaga definitely has had some ace material over the years.
So has Katy Perry.
|
| |
I mean I've passively heard many kylie minogue tracks but never checked an alb or anything
|
| |
I've never listened to a LG or KP album either but many singles through the years I've enjoyed for both.

Ghostin is one of the great masterpieces of modern pop. So fucking emotionally resonant and well-written

beatlessness might make it feel especially bleh to someone who’s not grokking the chord progression (the pure lushness almost reminds me of “off the table”) but tbf this whole album’s a bit snoozy, ain’t it?
