Oligocene is a strange choice as a single, nothing special. It will make sense within the album.

holy shit, oligocene is so gorgeous

If the remaining songs are of the same level as this and jurassic | cretaceous, then this album might be better than precambrian

"LOVE the instrumental version of this, better than with the vocals in general. the cleans are just blehhh"

Honestly, it was the harsh vox that put me of this (and the band in general, I guess) at first. They sounded too metalcore, and I really struggle with most metalcore harsh vox. Glad they have now clicked.

I always liked the deep end hardcore punk harsh vocals this band has used, they really added a shitton of punch to Precambrian. That's what makes this band so damn unique, who else combines prog, sludge, post metal and hc punk with absolutely seamless songwriting?

the transition for "the cambrian explosion" into cambrian II is still fucking transcendent.

The new album has a weird flow to it. first two are bangers, next few sound like Spiral Shadow Kylesa, then it gets intense again at the end. First impression is that it isn't as strong as Phan 1 but, as you can see, I 5'd this so...

they had an ama on /r/progmetal just yesterday evening, said quite a few interesting stuff. For example, 3rd single is also gonna be totally different than first 2 and overall album is supposed to be quite experimental

Fuckkk me I'm so hyped for it. Just one more month plus 5 days

Yeah, promo arrived a couple weeks ago but it's stream-only so it's a pain to listen to. Means I won't be burned out by the time my CD bundle arrives though!
