this is such a stupid, irrelevant comment
Ok but how is it stupid or irrelevant?
It’s an observation about opinions on this album on other parts of the internet and the observation itself is objectively true

This is a lot better than Axe to Fall though.

And lol what the hell you keep spouting ‘Pain’ as one of the best tracks on this album even though it’s pretty much a consensus low point (I mean I actually really like it but my opinion DNE the general consensus)

If it wasn’t clear that last comment didn’t refer to you BlackMalachite
And I’d put this as roughly on par with Axe imo, but they’re both sick

If they replaced "I Can Tell You About Pain" and put "Eve" on this instead, I'd bump this up to a 4.5.
@Ignim: Yeah I know you were referring to Starless with that comment, I don't understand how he could think this was mediocre but praise Axe. Like Axe is great don't get me wrong, but it doesn't come near this imo.

I just pretend that Eve is meant to be sequenced after Reptilian, it works ok
Although my dream is that they release an “untitled unmastered.” equivalent for this album (as per some recent interviews where they’ve said that ther were some dopeass songs they had to exclude from the record)

I feel like the more technical, less raw approach on here wouldn't really make an unmastered version as entertaining of a listen. I'd probably still enjoy the shit out of it, but yeah.

I didn’t mean literally unmastered with that, I was referring to the recent Kendrick Lamar EP (or compilation or whatever) called “untitled unmastered.” that was essentially a bunch of B-sides to To Pimp a Butterfly.
Like, it was still a quality fucking project, even if the songs didn’t make the official album, and I could totally see Converge doing something similar based on comments in some interviews over the past few months.

Ohh, if that's the case then hell yeah I'd be excited for that. They'd probably re-release Eve on that as well if that's the case, along with other similar tracks that didn't make the cut.

Yep. My headcanon is that there were a bunch of longer, more experimental tracks like Eve that didn’t make the final product since it’s a Converge album and you can’t have more than 2 or 3 of those on a single project so they had to settle for the title track and Thousands on the album and Eve as a B-side.
Mark my words, Converge post-metal B-sides project = EP of the year 2018.
It will literally happen idc

A Single Tear, Arkhipov and Broken by Light are the only cuts I return to off here.

The world’s too fucked for something that perfect to exist tbh, but it’s a beautiful thought
