This is more consistently interesting and diverse than PC, but all other Opeth albums are better than either it or this tbh

Songs on this, namely t/t, The Wilde Flowers & Era were much more entertaining live. Weirdly sounded quite heavy as well.

I loved how they made this sound like its gonna have some heavy as balls songs in the build up to its release...

It’s heavy-ish for a rock album I guess...

The album gets heavy but the occultish folk sections of the album, like much of the middle, are the strongest elements imo and remind me a lot of Heritage.

Heritage is so good, I know a lot of fans completely disregard anything Post-Watershed but I actually really dig the atmosphere/individualism of that record but find PC & this mostly uninteresting.

Heritage sounds really disjointed and lifeless imo :[ but I still respect the compositions and Mikael's vocal work, so it gets 3/5 for me

Mikael turned into a pretentious snob imo. Also heard he recently got divorced (well in the past two years or so) He also said Opeth was going to feature a dog (a doberman) barking on one of the albums. He didn't keep his word. Lying prick.
