I sincerely do, but that's also because Nirvana wouldn't even crack my top 15 grunge bands (although I still do love this album)

nirvana has always been so much more than just a grunge band to me

tracks like dumb, something in the way, and all apologies are some of my favorite songs ever, and i wouldn't consider those grunge.

word :] yeah my appearances are random

I'm not trying to imply that isn't true for some other "grunge" bands, I just feels like it needs to be taken into account when looking at peoples ratings and comparing them to other acts

Grunge is an iffy genre tag because of that precisely imo.

most genre tags should be taken with a pinch of salt - especially in the realms of 'guitar bands'

there's a particular ~sound~ to the real grunge acts that transcends specific genre influences, which is why nirvana are 'punk' and alice are 'metal' but they are both grunge. they sound like grunge. you don't hear that when you listen to pumpkins or various other notgrunge bands of the 90s

I hear you man, tho for me Siamese Dream still sounds akin to the grunge sound.
