Eyes of a Stranger might be in my Top 10 rock/metal songs of all time.
Some albums can't be replicated; this is one of them.
88 had AFJA, No Exit, SSoaSS, The New Order and many more that others might name, but so far, this one rules that year for me.
Currently sits as my fave rock/metal album, time will tell if that ever changes.

I did, I really wish they played more of the older hits, I’d say the set was about half old stuff half new. Which I get, they wanna play the music they actually all made together, but it just ain’t what grew up listening to

“fuck man I'm the opposite, I want to hear the new shit live finally lol.”
I like everything that they’ve made with Todd, and he fucking crushes it live, just like I said man it’s not the shit I grew up on. They say the music you listen to from like 15-19 is what’s gonna become your favorite music and I spun the fuck out of this record during high school.
Tbh gun to my head I’d rather see these guys over Geoff these days but he’s playing Mindcrime in full and I fucking missed it. I’m very seriously considering traveling to see it but I just feel like it won’t be worth it. I’ve seen some videos of him, it’s fucking rough man

Geoff doesn’t sound good anymore. I do wish these guys would focus more on Todd era because the new music is great. I especially love The Verdict. First 8 songs or so are banger after banger. I was fortunate enough to see Queensryche live about 15 times or so. Maybe that’s why I’d prefer more Todd era today.

Yeah I only got to see them once and I think they played Spreading the Disease, Eyes of a Stranger, and some cuts off Empire and maybe that first EP… the rest was new stuff.
They came thru and played The Warning and the EP in full which was cool but I couldn’t make it to that, and The Warning is def my least favorite of their “classic” era so I wasn’t too bummed. Now had it been Rage for Order or Empire, id have loved that. I know there’s some lawsuit or stipulation or whatever that says they can’t play this one in full which only makes me more pissed at Geoff.

Geoff live would be more enticing if his live show didn't consist of a bunch of (talented, to be fair) dorks on stage and his fascination with presenting his crew as a cabaret or whatever.
Todd-ryche has been a blast the times I've caught them. Might go see Geoff on this last tour just as a send-off since he's coming to town.
