True, that is the only thing that let me down about this album. I remember seeing on wikipedia that they close with an ominous instrumental track and it sounded so much more awesome than it actually ended up being.

Ya I agree. It would have been better in the middle of the album.

it's funny cause if you watch the making of koloss they say it would totally mess up the flow of the album if placed anywhere but the end

I personally think they should've cut it in half and made it the intro to demiurge

I like the original more recording, which I know is not the most popular opinion. It has more a unique sound, the remastered version makes it sound too much like Catch Thirtythree. I mean, Catch Thirtythree is my favorite of theirs but still I preferred it when it was more of it's own thing.

the thing is

when you switch from 7 to strings on the original to 8 on the remastered it's like HOLY FUCK THIS IS HEAVY!

Ahaha, that's certainly true. The first few times I heard it I was blown away, but now that it's been around for a couple years I find myself listening to the original recording more. Doesn't matter though, all Meshuggah is amazing.

Aha, I've been high for hours. Playing some God of War II in between Sputniking, rocking out to Baroness, waiting for my Friday to really get started.

Yesss I agree about the Red Album/smoking every morning/your listening choice of catch thirtythree (I think you already know how hard that album gets me)

Debating whether I should write another review right now. It will probably end up being extremely hyperbolic and silly because of all the coffee/pot, but for some reason it seems like a solid idea.
