Overall this album has a much higher standard for lyrics IMO than other LP albums, Hybrid Theory and Meteora had pretty shit lyrics sometimes and same goes for MTM and LT. I don't see the problem with the vocals though

Also the slower tracks aren't supposed to be intense, Iridescent isn't trying to build tension it's a piano ballad in the vein of Bridge Over Troubled Water.
