It’s neat how many users here actually enjoy this band. I used to feel completely alone round these parts.

Nightmare is such a great song but the “your fucking nightmare part” locks me up with cringe.

i discovered this band through Nightmare. lots of nostalgia so I can look past that admittedly cringe line quite easily.

They always do dumb shit. If it’s not lines that, it’s laughing maniacally (although admittedly it totally works in ALPOH)

Yeah, the album gets WAY better once you get past the first two songs. Save Me might just be my favorite epic in the band's discog (either that or Exist)

Buried Alive is my favourite here. The intro and solo are so fucking good.

Such a nice fucking track.

Buried Alive is the most metallica worship song ever but they nail it so hard that it doesnt matter.
And I love Welcome to the Family. The bridge is legit Matt at his best imo. Nightmare is corny as hell but that’s fine, the “it’s your fuckin Nightmare” line feels like it was written specifically to get a crowd hyped and it’s perfect for that.

I’d go with This Means War tbh. You can literally mix it up with Sad But True.
Yeah that part is 100% for crowd participation but oooof I do not like it. Love the rest of the song though.

The sad thing is I completely forgot about HttK when writing that and ya, Shepard of Fire, This Means War, and Crimson Day all sound like they could be post Justice Metallica songs.
I think Buried Alive wears its influence on its sleeve but still has its own identity.

Oops sorry I reminded you.

This is such a ballads album, and Buried Alive's take on the ol Fade to Black formula suits it a treat
Maybe my rating is harsh - don't feel a need to hear about a third of this again, but it defs has its moments

Avenge sevenfold following in the footsteps of metallica? What is this some bizarro universe? And why are you lrevisiting this shit Johnny when you have much more important things to do I’m guessing? And yes I just sacrificed having avenge sevenfold feed in my replies to write this comment
