Those people are retarded. It isn't the best movie ever but I definitely think it's a good bit of fun if you pretend the sequels don't exist. Also, the effects while bad by today's standards were shot in a pretty cool and innovative way. The famous slo-mo bullet dodge shot comes to mind. They used a cool practical technique when shooting to give the camera that effect of spinning around Keanu.
