hell no - that album cures insomnia. i'm surprised fans of boc rated it as high as their other (infinitely better) works. look at the variety on this album, on campfire headphase, music, and then listen to their new album. it sounds like stars of the lid doing boc. tracks aren't catchy, dark, or really very interesting. aimless ambiance

sounds like you have a rather extreme opinion about it, like it sounds like you hate it a little unnecessarily .
I personally like it as much as campfire for sure. not as much as this and music tho. and couldnt agree less about catchiness or darkness. i find that album extremely creepily dark and ominous and much more percussion focused which makes a lot of the tracks very infectious in their loopy way

TH is a a journey through a dusty dead world, and I love it for that. Each of their albums evokes such a perfect atmosphere and it's no exception. Sure it's bleak, not catchy, but that's not what they were aiming for.
