lmao will never be able to take Kurt seriously for being a whiny lil boy and quitting ALLB
Jonny has the most suited voice for their sound. And the worst personality.
"Gappy" turned DGD into a hit-and-miss pop-rock band but is probably a cool guy. Has some of the best DGD songs period but I can't get into half the tracks.

"lmao will never be able to take Kurt seriously for being a whiny lil boy and quitting ALLB"
I mean I would've quit too if the band made music without me and were basically forcing me out of the band

It's all Franzino's fault

Oh man Travis' explanation, I totally forgot about it. Read it ages ago & forgot it existed. Shit maybe I'm being unfair -
"[Franzino's] release was over-saturated on all of ALLB’s social media, even after he was repeatedly asked to stop by multiple members."
"After we got back from tour, things were mostly silent. I would hit up members in the band and ask about new songs and how they were developing. Everyone would give me a thumbs-up, letting me know something good was happening and that they couldn’t wait to show me. A month goes by and not much has been shown to me..."
" I began to panic. I had to express how I felt about the songs to Michael and told him that I was concerned with turning ALLB into Alone. I learned soon after that the reason Cory is now taking singing lessons is that the band, through Michael’s vision, plans to eliminate Cory’s screaming altogether. I was not okay with the changes Michael wanted and was also hurt that he didn’t care to ask my thoughts on any of it. He tried to push the situation on me, told me that it’s too late to change anything and that our genre is on its way out and that’s why we aren’t successful."
YIKES. Funny since Alone only had like 1-2 good songs anyway.
Even more odd is that ALLB's DIVISI came out and I loved it. I might love it more than anyone else here, but maybe that's because I'm not touched by any bias/love for their prior two albums. But it's not really ALLB. That was fine with me at the time, but it's kind of gross reading about Michael steered the direction of the band without really mentioned it to their lead singer.

Dunno if this is odd or not, but having finally jammed most of the stuff from DGD my favorite albums in no order are probably DBM, Happiness and Mothership.. Each feature a different singer (happen to enjoy aspects of each, though Jonny is prob the best).

^ Great picks! Even though I prefer the Kurt era, Jonny is hands down the best clean vocalist of any phxc band to come out of the mid/late 00s, at least to me. Not sure who else is even worth putting in the conversation tbh.

maybe Thomas Erak from TFoT

Lol TFoT are fun but Erak is a trash vocalist

I might be a little biased, listened to them a ton growing up and always enjoyed Erak's vocal approach, never heard anyone quite like him.

He literally only sounds good on Doppleganger

Doppelganger is the only thing of its kind in the genre.
One of my most listened albums ever.
