Thank you! It was great. Ensiferum killed it too. DT's sound was pretty average though sadly, they use to have better sound from earlier experiences. They played Punish so I can't complain. Managed to get a ticket to tonights show as well m/ life isn't too shabby right now

I saw them on the 15th. They played that song here too, even if they had to end the show sooner compared to other areas.
It's neat that they're having two shows in Gothenburg.

Yeah it was great tonight too. Wish they were more diverse with the setlist but whatever, was enough new songs. Metal shows are the best man, always improves your health in some way : D

pretty crazy how much more accomplished DT was instrumentally than their peers on the early stuff
|
| |
They basically still are if we're looking at all the gothenberg vets that are still around lol

I love DT but I don't really think they're any more or less accomplished than their peers. Nothing about DT wows me in terms of playing ability

not at all, this album is just really great riff salad

they are definitely tighter musicians than their peers lol... i don't think the folks from at the gates or in flames would be able to pull off this album but i fully believe DT could have played any of the other big melodeath records

DT has aged better than any of the Gothenburg lads and it's not even close

Subterranean era in flames plays this album easily. Current in flames roster plays this album blindfolded

i gotta disagree with the subterranean era, they are technically accomplished but the playing here is so fucking airtight and precise. current in flames roster may be able to for sure, but they'd have like 30 more years of playing experience than the teens that recorded this so

Playing sounds tight on subterranean to me idk. They had a world class drummer for several of the tracks on that ep too

Daniel erlandsson for two tracks and actually the same drummer as this album for the others lol
|
| |
DT's playing is still airtight and doing things more complicated than In Flames or At the Gates. Not that technicality is everything, because they certainly make outright better music too. I've like a fair bit of output from pretty much every major melodeath band but DT stands at the top of the mountain for me
