Better disciplined than red

Yeah Islands is incredibly underrated. I also think Poseidon is underrated as well, mostly because it can’t escape the shadow of its predecessor. Had it been released first, I’m convinced that it would be considered a masterpiece.

That’s the reason I can’t quite give it such high standing, it really does feel like ITC part II. I am very much prepared to revise this in the future though, as I’ve only been a fan for a relatively short length of time.

Okay I wasn’t going to do this, but you never know I might come across it in the future and it could be interesting, so here goes...
Red > Court > Islands > Discipline > Larks > S+BB > Poseidon > Lizard

Did I already said how beautiful is matte kudasai?. I wish I were in love just to be that happy with the lyrics.

Fixed! The cover of Discipline is more red than the album Red haha

Larks>>the rest, but the rest ain't exactly slouches. Love Fripp's mathematical precision with Belew's pedal freak playfulness on this one.

Epitaph is my fav song (Starless is 2nd), but Red is my fav album and this and debut is tied for 2nd. Islands is next favorite.

They work so well together as guitarists, their interplay on this album is stunning.

haven't listened to any 90s or after KC
should I change that?

Album Rating: 4.5
It's basically KC's trademark dissonance and experimental songwriting but put in a heavier and more riff-heavy context. The only one of the three I wouldn't recommend is Construkction of Light, but the other two are really underrated imo

Yeah, Thrak is awesome

Lizard is my least favourite of the first eight KC

is Beat any good? Hard to believe that things get that much worse only one year later and with the same lineup
