@Guy that makes a lot of sense actually. And I just jammed the Limp Bizkit instrumental someone posted earlier, and it's surprisingly super solid! Sort of reminds me of LP's Cure For The Itch mixed with Somewhere I Belong.

"no Fred = no Limp Bizkit"

That's all it takes? Well now I know what I must do.

Mudvayne had so much potential to be a great band with longevity.

It's like they just flailed around all crazy and confused after this album. This album was their lifeline, they should have gone way slower in changing up the sound.

Probably the most disappointing act in metal ever agreed.

I blame the singer and guitarist going into Hell Yeah. I'm not sure if it was all an act for them in Mudvayne, but they seemed like smart dudes. Chad had a lot of thought provoking lyrics on this album, and on End of All Things. After that...what happened? It's like he started chugging Bud Light and becoming a red neck.

I didn't know the drummer, Matt, created a band with the guitarist, Greg, though. I guess there wasn't as much bad blood between all the members as I thought. Still pretty generic and a waste of his talent IMO. Ryan and Matt should have started a band together.

-1 and Death Blooms still hold up. I never listen to the rest anymore.

Classic example of a band having years to develop a great first album and then never spending enough time to craft something that lives up to it.

Lots of bands do that. Massacre would be another great example.

I think the bad blood is between Ryan and the others, but I don't have concrete evidence to support it. Just the gyst I get in some interviews.
