G's my third favorite song here

No I love the instrumentation and I don't hate the female vocals but Matt's vocal style just clashes too much with the jazzy stylings.

you should see him feast he’s like a mantis

It'd be really interesting to know the band's thoughts about all the most discussed vocal parts

I like to group the G/Ordinary/Death tracks together as one, that's my 3rd favorite here too

mantis that track list is legit better than the actual one, you’re right

There's definitely a couple of parts on G that made me go 'eh?' but it's so weird I still love it. Reminded me of when Coheed dropped Number City on Afterman, it's questionable but had it's quirks.

"mantis that track list is legit better than the actual one, you’re right"
it genuinely seems like it would be better but as someone who mostly only listens to albums top to bottom it feels so wrong to jumble an album's given order, even when it doesn't matter conceptually/flow wise
I know it's based in stubborn bullshit that only exists in my brain and not any logic but it's hard I tell you.

I’m the same way, and it won’t be the way I listen to it regularly but I do genuinely prefer it this way.

@shape: tbh let's go with one of my fav albums of all time. the black parade. For ages I felt Teenagers was out of place cuz it was right in the middle of one of the BEST stretches of songs i've ever heard. Cancer, Mama, Sleep... Teenagers? ...Disenchanted, Famous Last Words. I would put Teenagers after House of Wolves as like the intermission between both halves.

"Mattel" is really good, easy top three songs here with "Cosmic" as their best and...not sure on the third one yet! LOL

finally jammed this in full, pretty solid stuff. Wish I could get into Matt's vocals more, but the instrumentation is really great

sometimes albums do need to be reorganized and fixed. artists often get things wrong in one way or another in crafting the flow of a track list. i dont see an issue with changing the order or even subbing in b sides to better fit.

I don't mind the structure of this album to be honest, I only really have an issue with Nobody's placement. I tend to just skip it because I'm not a huge fan of it, We Love You has grown on me substantially though.
