Yeah, they crushed this album live. Honestly they have always crushed it live. Can't imagine the new tracks will be any different

oh i was so sure Speak With The Dead would be the intro track
forever FUCK releasing closers as pre-release singles. i don't think anything annoys me more for album releases.

idk, i've really just been missing the emo BUT wow, love the new single. Go Down Together was nothing special but this felt like something only Foxing could pull off and I'm for it.

Just curious, but why does it bother people if a closer is released as a single? Same thing was said in the Ohms thread and I couldn’t care less

I suppose to some it might feel detached from the rest of the album and/or temper any notion of surprise, though a great closer is a great closer regardless and it doesn’t really bother me that much

I’m already sold, not even gonna listen to this new one

Man.. I really wanna like the new one cause NMG is one of my favourite records released in the 10's.. But with the singles released thus far it's shaping up to be my least favourite by this band.

in the long run it matters far less but if i already know how the album ends the hype train just becomes significantly less exciting for me. i'd say more often than not a closer tends to be one of, if not the best songs on the album and I'd rather experience that in the context of the album for the first time.
why would i want to watch the last episode of a show first, yano? not exactly the same thing, I get that, but I think it illustrates my point more than enough

I don't like when a band releases their last track as a single. It's supposed to be an experience to hear after the journey. Sometimes album closers are terrible on their own but in the context of the album, awesome!
Also, if you know what the last track sounds like, there's no surprise ending to the album.
Imagine if the Wonder Years released I Just Want to Sell Out My Funeral? It would've been basically an album teaser (which could've worked I guess) but you would have heard a bunch of the albums hooks so when you hear that album for the first time, it could sound quite familiar and unsurprising.

"why would i want to watch the last episode of a show first" I actually like this comparison, and I somewhat get it I guess. But when the full thing comes out it really doesn't matter for me cause it just feels different.
Also.. you need a fucking password to buy this thing? Don't really like the three released track for now, but I wanna support them and do a Russian roulette on this one and just buy the damn thing.
