I like OTIP quite a bit more because the entire thing flows perfectly. A good chunk of After the Party drags or gets a bit repetitive to me. Midwestern States doesn't appeal to me like it does everyone else. Bad Catholics's start-stop guitar hook is cheesy af. Livin Ain't Easy is simply bad.

OTIP had dual vocals, guitar fills, consistent themes from start to end, and too many genuinely passionate moments to count. After the Party has only 3 or 4 moments where I feel they jump out from the normal songs and are singing from the bottom of their hearts, and those ones stand out so much more than the rest (Lookers, Your Wild Years, and the title track).

Less interesting guitar work and boring radio rock structures = sacrificing quality, to me.

OTIP is definitely the better record. This one has waned off of me a little, although the title track is still their best song.

Livin’ ain’t easy is dope, that bridge is incredible.

And yeah this has Bad Catholics, but OTIP has The Obituaries and a handful of other cheesy moments itself.

the obituaries chorus rules what the fuck

bad catholics is the weak link here but its still pretty fucking tight

otip would be better if ava house and freedom bridge were better. but the difference in quality between the two albums is slim

I do also kinda like BadCatholics, I was a Bad Lutheran after all. overall this album is damn consistent which is why it beats out OTIP for me.

butt.

Obituaries is one of the hypest choruses they've ever done.

Ava House is fantastic and I've never understand why people are lukewarm on it

Bad Catholics is awesome and just a lot of fun

Chamberlain Waits is great but doesn't touch either album

there are other songs on OTIP that are decent but nobody ever talks about, literally every song here is better than I Can't Seem to Tell. Also Sculptors and Vandals is good but not amazing
