'Montage was a bit 'don't meet your heroes' - not sure I needed to 'get to know' Kurt'

Agreed, I found it a bit uncomfortable in parts.

I'm sure Zak, Doof, and I could talk about the influence Nirvana had in that time period; but y'know Wham no bull shit .. they were just damn good at what they did. I didn't know anything about em or 'the generation' prior to hearing Nevermind because I didn't even know they existed yet everything else is afterwards.. instant classic the first day I heard it! Overrated? Yeah, sure if you wanna pitch that, but I truly believe anyone who hates these dudes needs to stop trying to be cool it ain't working. I loved all that stuff too dude.. all my buddies and I did. It takes me back listening to them again, but I'm not stroking the whole gen 'x' mass hysteria every time I listen to these bands. Nothing phony about a gunshot wound to the head and a million heartbroken fans. Every single band you mentioned payed tribute afterwards (I remember). If Kurt didn't die? That would've been swell, but to think I have this rated highly because the man died is absolutely 100% bull shit.

The best album ever made and it always will be.

The biggest middle finger to the 'mainstream' tag that had been placed on Nirvana at the time, pure fucking raw emotion.

"It really focused heavily on the negative parts of his life. There's plenty of evidence that he was a good guy, but he fucked up a lot like lots of musicians. I know plenty of guys from my hometown like that. You don't dislike them, you just wish they'd do better. Courtney is from a whole different cloth though. She's a selfish black hole of a person that doesn't care about anything but herself. Purely a negative influence.

That said I fuck with Hole's first record. Also, if one good thing came out of it all, Burn the Rain from the Home Recordings sounded like it would've been great song."

For all of Courtney's problems, I still have to admit that I enjoy Hole more than Nirvana. Imo, their first two records are absolute grunge masterpieces

Pretty on the Inside and Live Through This are leagues beyond anything on Bleach or Nevermind. Nevermind is still one of the most overhyped grunge albums to this day, imo
