imo she's not amazing or even great, but she's good enough to make parts that fit with the music really well and wouldn't be able to be played by someone just picking up a guitar yesterday.

Well, for one a lot of female musicians don't even look that good. Then we have cases where physical attributes definitely overshadow the musical ones or vice-versa. Then, obviously there is the thing that actually meeting a musician for more than 10 minutes is highly unlikely.
