i've listened to this album at least 15 times and it has grown off me a bit from my initial listen many years ago, but still a landmark album

Been jamming this alb (my dig) where the album is based around found recordings of the dudes dead schizophrenic moms a capella singing and it kind of reminds me of a more janky burial alb

in some ways yeah but the fight sequences in particular are cheesy as fuck. especially because of the stock royalty free action music during those scenes. plot and acting, mostly fantastic yeah

obviously any album that did something innovative and proceeded to become emulated becomes less original sounding over time without any context. this whole argument seems like a reductive and weirdly selective way to look at music and i'm not quite sure what you're insinuating anyways. is None So Vile any less incredible now that its had 20+ years of emulators?
