one of the best live performances of all time. The live versions of Indiscipline and Sheltering Sky are quintessential.

the video is wobbly and strange but the performance is great. There's another version but it's region locked. I ripped it to mp3 then spliced the tracks and now I have it forever muahaha

Thela Hun’s bass is godly, well the whole song is actually. I like this, Crimson mixing in some Talking Heads.

Okay that makes sense now, haha. I didn’t realise there was actually a connection, just hit play and almost had to double-check I selected the right album.

That’s quite a low rating for the tect + KC combo (if memory serves).

I still consider this part of King Crimson's pantheon of absolute greatness (1969 - 1981), but indeed it is my "least favorite" of all eight albums therein. I admittedly don't *love* the sort of new wave / quasi-Talking Heads direction they took (only exacerbated by Beat and 3APP) but this at least retains the supreme instrumentalism and songwriting prowess of KC's golden years before they got overshadowed by a texture and mood I didn't much care for.

Fair. Lizard has just been confirmed as my least fave of this era you speak of. I hadn’t heard this one and also needed to revisit ‘Starless + Bible Black’. I’m expecting some potential changes down the line, as a couple seem like potential long-term growers. Larks is particularly challenging.
Islands is currently the ‘surprise package‘ based on the average.

islands is underrated agreed
|
| |
if bands like underoath and thrice can get 3.9+ averages then islands is like an 8 at least by my estimations
