Honestly, Sweet Amber is probably the closest the album gets to having a good song. The chorus is kinda catchy.

this is a total guilty pleasure album for me haha. it's way too long, the production sounds like absolute buttcheeks, james sounds pretty horrible, the lyrics are mega cringe, there's no solos and yet i'm drawn to it.
admittedly the documentary plays a part in that. it's a miracle this album was made and the band survived. it's like i like it ironically but for that to be true there must be a seed of truth lol

That documentary is so good. Actually made me kinda appreciate this album a little bit even though it is still utterly terrible.

it's one of the best ever honestly. pure fly on the wall insanity. so many unbelievable and hilarious things. i really respect them for releasing it. almost all other bands would've burned that tape and made people sign nda's so hard lol

Invisible Kid is my guilty pleasure from this (helps to ignore James' singing/lyrics immensely).

I say it fairly regularly here but Frantic and Dirty Window are the crushers on this. Cut 40% of the bloat and replace the worst vocal performance in their catalog and there's a decent album in this.

Yep this album owns. Snare is just so classic, it's on the very extreme end of that 2000s nu metal sound. Metallica reinvented themselves in a great way and it was probably the most inspired they've been since the early days. Particular those chugging groove pockets where there's a lot of space and the snare will ring out are awesome. So much better than 72 Shitsons.

i took a business communications class in college and the professor called the documentary something like one of the best documentaries out there that explores team building, relationships in a high pressure work environment, how radically different personality types clash, and a bunch of other textbook lingo i've since forgotten
was very high praise from a guy who wore designer and carried himself like don draper lmao

there is so much going on and it's all fascinating

Leave it out it’s absolutely ridiculous.
In the real world Lars would be knocked out and that therapist guru would be told to do one.

Totally didn't mean to post in this thread but yeah this album sucks but Frantic kind of rules
