Can definitely side with those who say this is their best album, it hits you hard.
I always wondered, is there any relation between Tool and Neurosis? Meaning...did one influence the other? Or are they both pioneers of different genres and never cite the other as influences?

not sure about that
but glad you're getting the chance to hear the real album. this is one of a few albums that I can point to and say that it in itself changed my ideas of good music and affected me significantly so I actually get excited when people hear this for the first time.

Tool was a big influence on post-metal though. You could def hear some of it in their shit. I know Isis opened for them.
