Does it matter that much? It always seems like this band's mishaps matter more than their accomplishments to Sputnikers. And they accomplished a lot more than many prog-metal bands ever will.

@Arcade: And then after Promised Land, the band ate even more ass for years to come

Evidently, people will bitch. And they forget all this band did for the subgenre.

Don't worry, I still love the golden years. This is quite the masterpiece

I'd like to see you guys start a band, work your asses off to make ends meet, become at least as known as these guys, and then avoid succumbing to the pressures of changing trends.

Nah, I'm not in the mood to refute you Arcade. But compared to a lot of the generic prog-metal wank out there, this is gold.

I acknowledge that there's some amazing material by these guys (like this album), but also so much shit to wade through

There are only 2 QR albums I can say with certainty that I'd rather never hear again, but that's just the opinion of a fanboy.

Why is it that I had to fall in love with unpopular bands on the site? I'd be cooler if I liked DT more, but no, Ryche fanboy. I'd be cooler if AiC was my fave grunge band, but no, PJ fanboy. Would be cooler if I was more into Maiden, but no, prefer Priest. Would be cooler if Zep was my fave of the Unholy Trinity, but prefer DP. Why, oh why does this shit happen to me?

Honestly, the only band with a reputation for consistency on this site that is in my Top 10 is prob Floyd.

@fallen: Zep, Sabbath and Purple are considered the Unholy Trinity of British Hard Rock.
