As much as I struggle with this album at certain points, seen them live twice since this album released and woowwww.
Can safely say Pneuma and Invincible are up there with Tool's best.

These tracks slay live. I’d honestly be perfectly fine with them just playing the entire record

I haven't spun this in a while. I can remember it being pretty good but nowhere near as good as Lateralus or Aenima.

Invincible has one of my fave Tool guitar rhythms, it's just so well crafted.
When that switch hits at the end as well into that groove, brilliant.
Just wish the album had more actual builds like that, still feels aimless and overlong in so many places.

I think Descending has the best build personally.
I could go on about that song forever but I’ll leave it at this: it’s the only one that I really wanted to learn to play. And it’s fun as hell. I’d probably *try* Tempest because that sounds fun as hell to play too, I just don’t think my little brain can remember all the different parts to that 15 minute monster.

A lot of Tool songs are great fun to play on guitar.

So many of them. Bottom is another personal favorite.
I’m not shitting on Adam at all, I think he’s a great guitarist, but a lot of their songs are undeniably easy to learn, so that’s part of why they’re so much fun to play.

Schism is one of my all-time favourite songs to play by them.

People shit on Adam so much, he does rely on powerchords too much and he has a rigid style of playing that he doesn't deviate from but I like him

Nice, a new chapter has been opened in this thread. I've only learned parts of 64&2.
*pulls up Schism tabs*

Schism is a lot of fun to play too but idk it’s easy to get lost during that extended bridge. Or maybe my attention span is just ass
