Hey thanks man, I appreciate it. Was not easy. But now I actually work at the treatment center I got sober at (twice), strangely enough.

Havey and Johhny are puritans, no wonder one believes in a 3.5 regional God from the middle east and the other lives in high humidity environments to become the ultimate weeb. Take drugs and evolve already guys, as a bonus you might finally understand Tool's music, or at least merge into one entity that combines Bach and Yeule into one listeneable artist.

I have a very hard relationship with drugs. I've always been scared of them by pure instinct. Never did anything apart from alcohol (well, that if you take sugar, digital entertainment and many other modern drugs that are not considered as such...).
Then life brought to me a lot of people who had been absolutely destroyed by them. I almost lost a dear person to me because of them, and it happened in my face. However I know many of my fav albums are psychedelic in nature and the artists themselves recognized taking drugs during the creative process, and as a curious individual I've listened to/read a lot of stuff regarding drugs. Specially as a way to heal certain mental conditions in controlled environments. Sam Harris in particular had a profound effect in my way of seeing drugs.
It's funny because many experiences I've heard/read regarding drugs and its effects happened to me in a natural way. I've experienced certain kind of highs/trips by listening to music for example (actually I'd say music has been kinda like a drug my whole life).

Interesting how puritans are always quick to shame people who aren't. You'd think they would be kind but they're mostly angry or sarcastic.

Because they feel that they are above them.

The pretense of purity, just like innocence and other non-existent bullshit, is just another creative way to dodge real-life responsibilities. People who obsess over being "pure" are just hiding from the complicated reality of actually dealing with life and its morally grey areas.
