Paranoid just kinda breaks the doomy atmosphere of the album imo. Don't get me wrong, it still rules, but I'm all about the doomyness on here.
Fairies Wear Boots is awesome as well, imo their 2nd best closer.

It really doesn't flow that well yeah, it was made solely for the fact that the album was deemed too short and they needed to make something else and just threw that after 15 minutes, and shows since the main riff is pretty standard, but the solo totally makes it worth it for me
My favorite is probably Electric Funeral

War Pigs brings the sludge hard. It's sludge before sludge existed.

Amazing how one band can pioneer so much on their own
|
| |
Yup. Some examples:
-Sludge
-Doom
-Thrash
-Stoner Rock
-Prog Metal
Not to mention possibly the first metal epic (Megalomania); also their impact on grunge, particularly the more metallic sounding bands like SG and AiC. And basically no metal subgenre can deny at least some form of indirect influence from them.
But most importantly, Sabbath still sound relevant today. It feels as if not much time has passed when one jams their first 6.

There's no denying that Black Sabbath is one of the most if not THE most influential band but:
Thrash: Led Zeppelin - Communication Breakdown (1969) and Queen - Stone Cold Crazy (1974)
Stoner: Blue Cheer - Vincebus Eruptum (1968)
Prog Metal: Uriah Heep - Salisbury (1971)
Metal Epic: Child in Time (1970)
Black Sabbath is probably the biggest metal band of all time but without the above guys we would be missing a lot of genres. Plus they were quite weak regarding their live performances.

Interesting mentions manosg. Yeah, I guess Sabbath, while they did lend a hand in pioneering all that, didn't really do it all by themselves.

@Talons
We were talking about what influenced each genre. The songs from Zeppelin and Queen that I mentioned did influence thrash. Without "You Really Got Me" by The Kinks or "Helter Skelter" by The Beatles we wouldn't have hard rock or heavy metal. That doesn't mean that "You Really Got Me" is heavy metal.
