Mesmerize has Lost in Hollywood, which is probably my favorite songs off both albums, but Hypnotize has Attack and Dreaming, which are awesome.

Wish the rest of this album was as good as "Prison Song", It really hits that sweet spot of being absolutely bugfuck crazy while actually making a salient point.

There's definitely filler here but also some of their best tracks as well.

I definitely enjoy their more mellow, melodically-inclined moments (especially "Aerials"- god, what a closer), I just find a lot of their dadaist lyrical tendencies more irritating than anything, and a lot of the heavier riffing comes off pretty uninspired and samey to me. Still a really solid album overall though, gun to my head I'd rather give it a 4 than a 3.
