Inside, watching the core

Of whatever, we had left of our lives

The multiplications divide

We drink to quench

The thirst to come

With the bones that we left

The trap was sprung

"it has their loudest snare sound, a bit digital in sound, Jens doesn’t sound at his best, and some of their bottom tier songs actually"

would love to hear you elaborate on the last part cause tbh I've never jammed a song of there's and thought "this is def a bottom tier meshuggah song". They have the highest floor of like any band ever imo on a track to track basis

someone’s gotta take the fall

never liked Do Not Look Down as much that’s for sure, the record def leans a bit more to Thrash so at that point I would’ve preferred something like what VSoR offered. weird critiques I know but Swarm was tom-heavy, Demon was double bass heavy, idk things that didn’t scream to me as ‘Meshuggah’

idk if it’s an age thing too

ofc Nothing had it too but not as nonstop. it’s weird i know but I think it’s partly cuz of the production

Alright, it's been out long enough to justify bumping the rating. Welcome to the 5 gang, Immutable Babe

Other than cc this is deff weakest shug. I still jam dei-violent sleep on a weekly basis and they hold up after years. This... not so much. Half this album consists of bland single note chugs. It's a sort of generic bland meshuggah album tbh. Like I don't really give a fuck about jamming this much in the future and meshuggah is a top 5 band of all time to me. Album is cool it's not all that. Grew off me pretty hard
