Yeah it's actually one of the saving graces here, Converge by-the-numbers it is not. Some of this feels like a watered down version of their previous material so Arkhipov was refreshing to hear.

Still surprises me how lukewarm the reception for this is here (he says after 4 straight 4.5 comments). Like, in almost every other corner of the internet this is being received just as well as AtF and AWLWLB (reddit, RYM, etc)
Obviously not ragging on the people let down by this - to an extent I actually do see why some people are here - but I think the discrepancy between here and elsewhere is interesting.
On another note I’m seeing them with Sumac and Cult Leader on Friday (first show of the tour), so absurdly excited
