Better than Heritage? Oh man. It’s so boring & derivative. I don’t feel like it has any individuality at all, completely uninteresting. I struggle to even make it through PC, honestly.

The song-writing is cohesive on PC because it’s so bland, by the numbers 70s-prog worship, Heritage has so many better ideas. The drumming is super cool & I dig the atmosphere/production.



I don’t mind the odd slightly disjointed moment if something is ambitious & creative, it’s why I love early Opeth so much despite the criticism of Orchid (& to an extent) Morningrise receive.

Apparently you do get prog-rock people at their gigs nowadays (i.e. guys in Rush t-shirts) & I know of someone (never actually met him) who swears by Heritage.
