I'm delighted to hear that, because I've heard people say that this hasn't aged well.

I feel like they really tried to make a spiritual successor to Via with Happier but it just doesn't compare

yeah but Happier was solid. kind of miss Gus though even though he’s a POS

happier reminds me way more of no sleep way more than it does this. like if no sleep was meant to be jammed during daytime

yeah the poppier hooks and chorus' are definitely more like no sleep, but I think they were way more constructive to the overall sound in that, much like they were with Via. every song feels like it has a direction and a reason for playing out like it does.

double post but I miss Gus too, kinda sad him losing his brother and everything and him just clearly not handling it well

i do not miss gus whatsoever. tbh pretty glad i only got into this band when barr came back. dont like gus's voice very much and he is an asshat. i thought he was growing but I still saw him trying to start shit with the band past the point where they'd "made up" with each other

really really terrible situation w diego tho. way too young

i liked Gus as a counterpoint to Barr. they played off each other well even though they clearly hated each other

gus and barr were the dynamic that really got me into this band, without ever knowing who they were in the first place. mike's shrill highs and gus's latent but hardcore style, really put a three dimensional feel into the sound and they're still to this day among my favorite of dual vocalists

it'd be interesting for sure, I just feel like Mike and Mike are at their peak right now unless they blow my mind with whatever they release next
