No louder is not better, but I’m no audiophile either. They’re perfectly listenable to me. Then again I find some 80s metal albums unlistenable for the screechy guitars, so maybe I like compression and shit modern production, or something.

the human rerelease in particular is good; it's louder but still listenable and the mix has noticeably improved clarity
ITP is debatable because the mix sounds interesting but it's really too loud
