I'm pretty sure he did a solo Dark Side tour in the mid-2000s. That's probably the best bet and most financially viable, so fingers crossed.

In mid 00s he did DSotM, yeah. Which was more than succesful (of what I've heard).

Would be so fucking epic to see live.

Indeed it would. Heard he played the entire thing, and then several songs off other albums (WYWH-tt, Run Like Hell, Comfortably Numb, Have a Cigar and such). Should have been amazing at the Roskilde Festival back in 06

That would have been amazing. The Roskilde seems like such a cool festival, they get some pretty great lineups.

Can't imagine seeing Waters play Dark Side without Gilmour, it just doesn't seem right.

It'd be like Genesis playing the whole of The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway or Selling England without Peter Gabriel.

Truth, it wouldn't be the same. That said, I would see it regardless.

Steve Hackett does some live renditions of Carpet Crawlers, Supper Ready, etc. :D

Yeah, Roskilde is amazing. Been coming there the last 5 years, gets better every time

Oh man, so jealous, who'd you see this year? Best performance?

True NightProwler but it's not the same as doing the whole album.

I wish Gilmour would do a tour playing the whole of Dark Side or WYWH, I'd definitely go see that.

Read somewhere that he said he has retired from major tours, which is pretty shattering, if understandable because of his age.

Yeah it's a shame. Seeing Gilmour live would be almost as good as seeing Floyd.

Dunno how good Gilmour is today. Haven't heard any of his outputs, besides that one with The Orb (which was bad). But Water's is great live.

And yeah, obv a few songs isn't the same; there's playing a song live, and an album live. When playing an album, you have to be able to capture that atmosphere within the album!

Agreed. I've said it before, but Gilmour > God.

The lead break 19 minutes into Echoes is probably the most earth-shattering thing I have ever heard. Absolute perfection.

Gilmour sounds incredible on his most recent solo live album, Live in Gdansk. It's just like listening to Floyd when he plays the classic Floyd tracks.

Gilmour will always be a better singer than Waters that's for sure.

I'll have to check it out, what year is it from?

Always, Waters vocals are for the most part pretty average.

It's from 2008.

His voice isn't quite up to the standard it once was but for his age he performs brilliantly.

I agree with Water's vocals not being anything special, Gilmour is def superior. I should check that live album out. The PF-release from the 90s (PULSE) is excellent
