The best songs on FII are better than most of the stuff after this one, and fits with these 90's albums too

Album Rating: 3.5
fii has like 3 excellent songs, a couple good ones, a couple forgettable ones and then two absolutely atrocious failures

Yeah I agree, I like the overall ambience of FII, the only things that scrap it all are the cheesiness, the production and some details in the songs that feel so forced

Erm nah. It's good, but not as good as the best songs from ToT, oct and BC&SL

Trial, Lines, Hollow, Millenium, Pervian, Kitchen, Anna, Take Away are all brilliant

But as good as Oct t/t, In The Name of God or Endless Sacrifice? It definitely offers something different and nice, but not better for me

The two epics are excellent, New Millenium and Peruvian Skies are great, Hell's Kitchen is one of their best instrumentals, and some of the ballads are decent. Rest is pretty much poo

New Millenium is overrated

But their 00's albums best moments are mostly better, and obviously their other 90s albums are way better than FII overall

@Onimir whaaa, the production is one of the best for DT, as is the mix. The instruments sound great. Could have been a little more crisp but other than that I think its good

Any love for Anna Lee? Probably my favourite or second on FII

Album Rating: 4.5
Like I said it's still bottom DT, but better than most fans give it credit for with some really great songs

Imo FII and ToT are practically equal. Of course, ToT is more consistent, but it has a lot of pointless moments like most of This Dying Soul and Honor Thy Father. FII has lots of flaws, but within its greater songs it has a lot more to offer for me. Both are like 3.5s

@Choccy Anna Lee is great, JP even uses a slide for the solo! Someone should remind him of that

ToT is a solid 4 and so is BC&SL. The rest are 3.5's except the s/t.
