It's not.

Gandhi once said:
If Scott Travis is behind the kit
That album best Priest it is not
|
| |
that is one big hot take.
|
| |
It's what you said.
|
| |
nope that was Gandhi
|
| |
Oh yeah. But you agree anyway, you think their best is Sad Wings of Destiny, right?
|
| |
yeah, and I'd probably give this a 2.5 in the future. Scott travis' drums on painkiller are legendary though.
|
| |
Don't 2.5 this. I like this.
|
| |
Why does page 53 fuck up? Cursed.
|
| |
Don't know.
|

It's kind of cool for a band to be polarizing, bickering is part of the fun.

Scott Travis brings the zzzs hard
|

This is the only album where Scott was exceptional and I feel a large part of it is due to that huge drum tone too, he's otherwise a pretty good drummer all in all, he plays up their 70s material a bit too hard live though

His performance here is great, but I think it's praised mainly because of the impact they have on this album and the band more than how good they actually are. Dave holland couldn't do this shit for sure.
|
| |
Holland is a (double) bassist, of course he couldn't.
