I've only seen them once but Raygun's stage patter was very specific to the location of the gig, talking about where he ate that day, films shot nearby. I wouldn't call them 'chaotic' so much as unhinged, there's an uncomfortable tension when they perform and the lack of explosive emotions contributed to that. That's not to say Raygun can't come out with some harrowing vocal performances, because he absolutely can and does, but the tension is what makes it.

Seen them 4/5 times and never really been blown away, theyve been great musically but watching Raygun walk around muttering and as you said no explosive emotions, I just wanna see something when I watch a vocalist and its just like hes in the looney bin talking to a wall but it gets boring fast (for me)
