Yeah interested to see how these songs translate live and how they'd fit into their sets. Genesis, Ohms, Link is Dead would prob fit right in, not sure about everything else though.

They still tailor their sets pretty heavily to the first three albums and all the heaviest stuff they've done since.

"At The Drive-In, Deftones, Opeth, & Deafheaven can do no wrong. Oh yeah, and is that a jazzy hip-hop record? Auto 5" This isn't even how people act. AtDi's last album wasn't good, people shit on Gore pretty regularly on this site, lots of people are cold on prog rock Opeth and a stringent minority of people shat on Deafheaven pretty consistently. And if you can't see why so many jazz-rap records are lauded, I feel bad for you son. I got 99 problems but your taste ain't one.

Honestly, I neither get the disparagement of Gore nor the elevation of this. Both are pretty good, and are more interesting than KNY, but don't match Diamond Eyes.

Nothing on this album is as boring as Sextape, What Happened, Rocket Skates, or Graphic Nature

I sure hope this album is a grower but I can't see myself wanting to revisit it that much when there's plenty of deftones already there that I know I like

I feel like some of you are not listening properly with good headphones and the volume is not turned up enough to get the full production.

It's okay to love deftones without deepthroating all of their songs where they do deftones things

First impression: this is a step up from Gore, but in my opinion it doesn't come close to their best work. Hopefully it'll grow on me.

I feel this. If you rated lower than 4.5, this is probably the issue. I'll never forget hearing the last half of Errors on a good headset. Omg, can I get that experience back? I about died
