I live in a small village half an hour away from a bigger city. There's no record shops here anymore, I have to go to the city or order online (which is always less satisfying) which succckkks.

Its definitely up there, even if I don't like it as much as Cruelty and the Beast / At the Heart of Winter / Transylvanian Hunger.

I don't normally listen to the Black Metal genre, but this was a pleasant surprise. It's so damn good. I completely agree with your statement Crysis, to quote you "In the Nightside Eclipse is a masterwork because of this compositional balance" End Quote.
If I had to rate other Black Metal albums, this set the standard for all other Black Metal albums. No other black metal album that I've heard of comes close to Emperor's In The Nightside Eclipse. That could change though, but I highly doubt it. This really isn't my genre, but this album is absolutely incredible. This is a damn fine review. Great job.
